The Cressi Scorpion BCD is the next evolution in Travel style BCD, it combines the lightweight design of traditional travel BCD’s without the loss of features, weight capacity, lift or Durability that we so often see.
Configured in a true HARNESS design with shoulder straps mounted to the rear of the weight waistband, the Scorpion not only fits and hugs the diver’s body but is the only truly UNISEX travel BCD on the market. At the core of the harness system is its flexible 1 Piece construction backplate, this not only makes it super tough but also foldable for packing away when not in use or for travel. Additionally, attention has also been given to the padding in both the shoulders, back and waist so that the BCD can be worn on bare skin providing comfort without causing any chaffing.
Unlike many travel systems, the Scorpion has had considerable development put into its rear inflation wing design. This completely independent wing design provides absolute stability while offering market-leading lift capacity (19kg in Medium). To further improve the function and low drag of the wing it has been fitted with elastic tensioners that provide additional stability and facilitate the emptying of air from the air cell.
To improve comfort and trim the high capacity LAS (lock Aid System) weight pockets have been located vertically behind the pocket at the rear of the BCD. This system, following the Cressi tradition, guarantees the maximum ease of insertion and release of the ballast with total safety against accidental losses since its anchors incorporate a spring effect (patented) in anticipation of accidental hooking.
High capacity pocket on the front has been combined with the Cressi Ventral strap with tension system the pulley effect that guarantees an optimal tether of this critical point in the interest of the stability of the jacket on the body. The adjusting movement is carried out by pulling from the strap D-rings, 90º to the outside instead of to the sides.
Sporting many of the standard feature we have come to expect from Cressi like their New low-profile one-way shoulder exhaust valve which eliminates water entry into the BCD and Cressi Direct System high flow inflator this is the BCD has it all without the drag and weight and suited to all dive conditions.
